Essilor Varilux X Series – Natural Vision
The new Varilux X series is the first varifocal lens that provides complete visual freedom. It dramatically reduces head movement which gives you natural vision. This lens is by far the best varifocal that Esslior™ have ever designed, and we can’t wait to demonstrate it to you.
Your posture and the way you look at things up close have changed. You’re now drinking coffee while texting the kids, sending an email via a tablet on the train, or checking your social news feed every other hour. In short, everything that matters today happens within arm’s reach. Before now, no varifocal lens had been designed to accommodate these modern-day behaviours. Therefore, you had to ‘point your nose to where you wanted to look at’.
The Varilux X series removes this limitation through its ‘Xtend’ technology. You no longer need to move your head to see clearly.
Here to Help
Our team provide a range of options for you that you’re sure to find beneficial. This includes the following:
Free Retinal Photography
Digital retinal photography is offered for FREE to all patients.
Free Glasses for Children
Children from the age of 2 should start having eye tests. These are FREE. If glasses are required, these are also FREE.
Frames
From budget to designer options, we provide a wide-range of frames. FREE NHS frames are also available.
Company Eyecare Plans
Our opticians accept several eyecare plans, and we can register for additional ones if they are required.
OCT Screenings
Barnham Opticians is now introducing OCT screenings. Accessible to people of all ages, OCT (Optical Coherence Tomography) is an advanced eye scan providing you with both instant and early diagnosis of various ocular conditions, including potentially serious conditions that can not only affect your eyesight but also your overall health. We understand you may have a busy schedule, or may be nervous about possible discomfort, however we can assure you that an OCT scan is simple, non-invasive, and painless, providing you with an invaluable record of your ocular health while only taking minutes.
So how does this all work? Well the answer is simple! Just book an appointment with one of our optometrists, who will then scan your eyes using Topcons’ innovative 3D OCT camera. After examining the high-resolution images of your eyes using built-in analysis tools, any future scans can be compared with your previous ones.
While OCT screenings are available for anyone, you will especially benefit from an OCT scan if you meet any of the following –
- Over 60
- Over 40 and short sighted
- Diabetic
- Have Glaucoma or a family history of glaucoma
- Have any retinal abnormalities
- Have a history of eye problems
All you need to do is book an appointment with one of our optometrists, or contact us via phone or email for more information.
